FE Tapestry Blog

Embracing the whole sector: ACL, FE, ITP, specialist...EVERYONE!

This is the space for FE* practitioners, thinkers and learners to share their ideas, thoughts and experiences in the sector. If you would like to write a blog for FEtapestry, please contact Chloë at chloeh@pdnorth.org.uk

* Note that we envision the FE umbrella to encompass everyone working in the post-16 or further education sectors (also known as FAVE, PCET and other similar acronyms) including, but not limited to: adult community learning, colleges, training providers, freelance trainers, specialist colleges, secure estate, third sector education and sixth form colleges.

Writer Guidelines:

WORD: 300 – 1,000 words. Keep it short and engaging. Something folks can read in their break, on the bus or in the staffroom when they have a spare moment. Unpack any acronyms and terminology. Consider chunking your writing to make it more accessible. Images are a bonus but only if you have permission, they illustrate your thoughts appropriately and you inlcude ALT-text.

STYLE: Flexible. We’re interested in: Voices from the classroom/ staffroom (whatever that might look like). Resource explorations. Reviews of books, blogs and events. Think pieces. Stories of action research. Critical thoughts. Don’t forget to include a brief bio and contact details to keep the conversation going.

REFERENCES: If you choose to mention other people’s work, events, videos, resources etc please reference them and give them the kudos they deserve. Please include (intext) links where possible.
